Job Title: Damage Prevention Specialist (DPS)

Purpose and Scope

The damage prevention specialist (DPS) is responsible for preventing damage and protecting the assigned facilities of the ARKUPS partners. The DPS is also responsible for conforming to the company standards for technical skills, quality, productivity and safety.

Organizational Relationships

The DPS reports directly to the District Manager.

Responsibilities

Promote ARKUPS quality improvement efforts through technical and professional competence. Ensure that all equipment is properly cared for through established preventative maintenance procedures and is responsible for understanding the proper and accepted use of equipment as defined by company policy. Promote a safe working environment and comply with ARKUPS safety policies as implemented. Promote both the Arkansas One-Call law and the concept of building relationships with utilities and excavators to prevent damage.
